About

Abi Jones

Abi Jones builds design organizations that ship in hard places: Health AI, privacy infrastructure, and enterprise platforms. Places where new technology faces deep, earned skepticism and getting it wrong has real consequences.

At Google, she scaled the Health AI UX team from 4 to 20 while shipping AI-powered experiences to millions of users across 160+ countries. Her work spans the full arc from research to deployment: directing field research and co-design sessions across the NHS, Mayo Clinic, and rural clinics in Thailand, personally conducting onsite research in India and the US, and navigating FDA and EU regulatory review for consumer and clinical health products.

Her leadership approach is grounded in technical depth. She believes design leaders need to understand a system's capabilities and limits, not just advocating for users, but knowing precisely where technology enters a workflow.

Abi is a Co-Active trained coach and brings structured frameworks to 1:1's and team development, particularly during organizational change.

She brings the same hands-on orientation to life outside work: hiking redwoods, woodworking, and volunteering with Second Harvest Food Bank.
